The LaGrange Police Department developed a police academy which
is directed at youth 12 – 16 years of age that runs every
summer for one week. Each year this fun filled event consists of
various activities for children and the opportunity to build relationships
with other children as well as law enforcement personnel. The goal
of the academy is to encourage our youth to make positive choices,
while educating them about possible dangers in our society. Officers
discuss topics that include internet safety, drug awareness, gangs,
decision making skills, positive friendship foundations, general
law enforcement duties and laws as they apply to our youth.
The LaGrange Police welcomes the opportunity to work with your
child in this exciting and unique event.
