The LaGrange Police Department currently employs two code enforcement officers whose primary responsibilities are to address quality of life issues within the city limits of LaGrange. These quality of life issues include accumulation of litter, unkempt residential and business property, illegal dumping, abandoned vehicles, and other quality of life issues that have an effect on the overall appearance of the city.

Both code enforcement officers are required to address these concerns and to work with the citizens to ensure that these issues are addressed in a timely manner. Code enforcement officers are authorized to issue notice of violations and to issue citations when appropriate.
