The City of LaGrange collects residential household garbage four days per week on Monday through Thursday. The City also picks up yard waste and trash on alternating weeks along with the household garbage.
What is Yard Waste?
Yard Waste is considered to be vegetative matter such as leaves, brush, limbs, etc., but does not include grass clippings. Place yard waste curbside immediately prior to garbage collection day. The yard waste collection should not exceed 4 cubic yards in volume or 500 lbs. in weight.
What is Trash?
Trash is considered to be bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, bikes, swing sets, etc. that are too large to place in the roll out container. The trash collection should not exceed 2 cubic yards in volume or 400 lbs. in weight.
Other Items
Appliances – The City of LaGrange encourages its citizens to arrange for dealer disposal when replacing appliances. Otherwise, contact the City at 706-883-2100 for appliance collection.
Items Not Eligible for Residential Pick Up
Tires – May be taken to the City of LaGrange Landfill located on Greenville Road
Grass Clippings – Back yard composting is encouraged

Hazardous Waste
Liquids including Paints
