  • After the attacks of September 11 citizens have been asked to report suspicious activities that they believe maybe a threat against the United States or its citizens. This information maybe reported in several ways, by either calling the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603, Troup County 911, The Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center at www.gema.ga.gov, or the Department of Homeland Security at www.dhs.gov. Also, by accessing the two listed websites citizens may review current published information in reference to the current Treat Levels and receive information on how to be prepared in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

  • DATE/TIME: July 1, 2010 – July 31, 2010

    INCIDENT/s: During the month of July the City of LaGrange Police Department has observed a significant increase in the number of entering auto crimes particularly around the north side of the City of LaGrange. These areas would consist of various apartment complexes along Mooty Bridge Road and North Greenwood Street as well as neighborhoods along New Franklin Road. The LaGrange Police Department is currently working diligently to identify and affect the arrest(s) of the individual(s) responsible for these crimes. At this time the City of LaGrange Police Department would like to offer a few friendly tips to citizens in all areas of the city; When away from your vehicles ensure that the vehicles are always locked with the windows secured, Remove all valuables from vehicles, park in well lit areas, and utilize any and all security devices installed on your vehicle. Additionally, be a good “nosey neighbor” and if you observe suspicious individuals in your neighborhood immediately notify 911.
